Due to continuing issues related to the EMS Licensing Database with the move to the GL Solutions Version 6, EMS license renewals are still being delayed. EMS license holders that expire on July 31, 2018 may not have sufficient time to complete the renewal process and have their new license by August 1, 2018.
Therefore, all EMS license holders with an expiration date of July 31, 2018 will have until August 31, 2018 to complete their license renewal and obtain a renewed printed license. The four year renewal expiration date will remain on the same cycle and will expire July 31, 2022.
This memo shall serve as verification that all Illinois EMS Licensees with a printed lapse date of July 31, 2018 are valid through August 31, 2018. The online EMS License verification portion is working and you can use this feature to do verifications.
Please share this memo with your EMS providers and EMS personnel who have licenses expiring on July 31, 2018 and who have not yet received their new licenses.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
The EMS Licensing database is now open for individuals who wish to RENEW ONLY. If you have already mailed in a check or money order, please DO NOT pay online as this will cause double payments to be processed.
The system is still unavailable for individuals wishing to pay for initial (new) licenses and ambulance licenses. Please continue mailing in a check or money order for payments until further notice.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding through our database transition.
